iBinder is Teacher Professional Development that works!
With iBINDER, a web-based suite of tools, teachers and other educators can create standards-integrated curricula, customize their own Planbooks to organize their units and lessons, streamline and manage the planning process, and reflect on instructional practices.
The iBinder Model
iBinder's web-based productivity tools for instructional design, standards management, and professional development anticipate the growing needs of the individual educator. Each registered iBINDER user can create standards-integrated units and lessons in their very own online Planbook. After instruction, teachers reflect on their instructional effectiveness and modifications.
The Collaboration tool plays a vital role in iBinder's teacher interactivity and personal productivity. Units and lessons may be shared with other iBinder users. These users are self-selected Plan Team members (peer teachers) from within the iBinder community. Plan Teams interact collaboratively using built-in iBinder tools. Messages can be sent in order to provide support, exchange ideas, and share resources. Using the iBinder scheduling component and To-Do list organizes events, methods, and materials. Collaboration between iBinder users enhances instruction and maintains focus on student learning while fostering professional development in learning communities.
