Data Collection
eD3 incorporates CPSI's unique product, the SIF-Connect Universal Suite (commonly referred to as the UA), which is SIF 1.5r1 Certified for all 89 SIF objects. The UA is a group of tools that provide SIF agent capabilities to any new or legacy back-end application database.
Data Storage
eD3 uses a relational, normalized model as the backbone of the central data storage ("warehouse") to ensure maximum flexibility and scalability. Extracted data is integrated into a highly organized, database of which the objects are SIF-certified. eD3 is database independent; SQL Server or Oracle is generally selected.
For statewide data warehouses, we offer Unique ID Generator, which is a tool that generates unique student IDs to help educational agencies track student information without compromising student confidentiality.
Data Analysis & Data Reporting
eD3 incorporates easy to use reporting and analytical products. DTool™ is a simple to use, but powerful OLAP business intelligence tool that allows users to analyze data, discover trends and see data in ways that make the most sense to the user.
eReports is a user-friendly ad hoc report creation utility that allows end users to develop a variety of user-defined reports. The "Wizard" interface guides the user through each step of the report design process. It also supports selective access to functionality, existing reports and data.
eD3 also includes our specialized data mart, StAR, which specifically presents students' standardized assessment test results in report and graph formats.
Portal Services
The eD3 Portal is a configurableinterface that is the central entry point to all eD3 features and functions. It serves as the launch point for ETL tools, report creation (eReports) and data analysis (DTool). It can contain the Dashboard, which is a customizable web page that showcases real-time data, such as attendance and performance, in various graph formats. Commonly used reports can be listed on the page and run with just a click of the mouse. The main interface can be designed to look similar to a district's or state's own website.
