Description: |
- Lead QA Analyst responsible for building a QA team, keeping
analysts appropriately tasked/managed, and ensuring that they
adhere to industry best practices.
- Must be comfortable traveling to the United States for
extended stays and must also be willing to work off-hours to
communicate with home office in Jersey City, NJ, USA.
- Travel to the United States Core offices for an extended
stay (3 months or longer) to learn about the primary products in
the Core K-12 Division.
- Work with United States team to develop job requirements for
QA analysts in the Core India offices. Work with the Core India
Human Resources staff to build a suitably sized team for the
Core K-12 Division’s needs.
- Work closely with United States based QA coordinators to
manage team activities and to understand all testing
requirements. This will require meeting off hours and limited
travel to the United States.
- Interface directly with United States technical staff and
project managers as needed.
Function hands on as a QA Architect, pushing forward QA process
improvement including automated testing and monitoring.
- Provide technical guidance, direction, and problem solving
to QA team members – includes reviewing performance requirements
and test plans.
- Responsible for personnel management including performance
management, career planning, accountability and resource
referral for Quality Assurance Analysts
- At least Seven years experience in testing web applications
with two or more years in leadership/management role.
- Three or more years experience working in a high traffic web
environment with test automation, creating scripts from scratch
as well as maintaining using tools such as Quick Test Pro or Win
Runner.
- Experience performance testing high traffic web applications
using tools such as Load Runner or Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
Test Load Agent.
- Experience tracking and managing bugs using bug tracking
systems such as Fog Creek Fog Bugz. Also experience with source
control systems such as Subversion.
- Past experience implementing QA processes in an Agile
Development environment a huge plus (TDD, automated regression
tests, automated release management).
- Extensive experience in multiple operating systems and
multiple web browser with a solid understanding of different
testing strategies for different OS and browser settings.
- Knowledge of HTML, SQL, JavaScript and VBScript;
professional programming experience preferred.
Understanding of SDLC processes.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities and
resources.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills is a
